Short visual novel, and word guessing game made with Godot 4.0 for the O2A2 Jam.

Here, you take the role of a blind-mute boy who encounters a girl wandering the streets. Somehow, he is able to see her silhouette, and will try to communicate with the girl while she devices a way for them to speak to each other. Time is short however, and they both must go their separate ways eventually.

This game was made for the O2A2 VN Jam 2023, a micro Visual Novel jam with strict asset limitations and a 1000 word limit.

Loved the design of this game! Both communication game mechanics worked really well. Love the characters and the world building. The art, music and sound effect are all amazing too! Really great game!

Thank you, I'm glad you enjoyed it!

Such a cool idea for a game, very cleverly done and well implemented. (It would probably be too tough and random for a longer game, but at this length it's just about right.) Loved the Chinese setting, and the little snippets about the world are very effective at creating stakes with minimal information.

Thank you, I'm glad to hear it was a good experience!

The puzzles were very cool... and difficult! Which was the point.

Clever little game!

Thanks! happy to hear it was a good experience for you.

You finished it! The guessing mechanic was fun (a bit difficult for me haha) but really worked with the story. There's also the story with the girl and her family...👀 Overall, it was fun and cool :D -Otoke

I did, thanks for checking it out and for your help on making it! Hopefully it was decent enough since it was my first time writing a VN.
